Rothalie, from the same group as Mezza Corona Winery, comes from the Trento DOC region of Italy, a traditional sparkling wine producing area, and is synonymous with elegant yet modern sparkling wine. This sparkling wine uses 100% Chardonay and is aged on lees for over 60 months. Compared to standard base wines, the grapes used in this wine are harvested at a more mature stage. The base wine undergoes malolactic fermentation to reduce acidity and soften the palate. During the subsequent long aging process, it develops flavors of yellow fruits such as hazelnuts, peaches, and apricots. The final liqueur d’expedition, after aging, uses a base wine that is aged without added sugar and in oak barrels.
