(1) Refrigerated Products
In accordance with Paragraph 1, Article 2 of the “Criteria for the Application of Reasonable Exceptions to the Right to Terminate Communication Transactions” (products that are perishable, have a short shelf life, or are about to expire), refrigerated goods are excluded from the 7-day rescission right. Therefore, the provisions of Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act do not apply. We do not accept returns for these items; please confirm your requirements before purchasing.
(2) Animal Infectious Disease Prevention (Import Regulations)
To prevent the spread of animal infectious diseases, the importation of regulated animals or animal products must comply with national quarantine regulations and be declared for inspection.
Criminal Penalties: Illegal importation of regulated items may result in imprisonment for up to 7 years and a potential fine of up to NT$3 million.
Administrative Fines: Failure to apply for quarantine according to regulations may result in a fine of up to NT$1 million, which may be imposed repeatedly for each violation.
(3) Prohibited Gifts
Regulated quarantine items must not be included as free gifts or attachments with overseas shipments.
(4) Recipient Obligations
Recipients who violate Paragraph 3, Article 34 of the “Statute for the Prevention and Control of Infectious Animal Diseases” by failing to deliver imported quarantine items received via mail to the relevant quarantine authorities for destruction shall be fined between NT$30,000 and NT$150,000.
(5) Sale of Alcohol
Pursuant to Paragraph 1, Article 30 of the “Tobacco and Alcohol Administration Act,” the sale or transfer of alcohol shall not be conducted via vending machines, mail order, online shopping, or any other methods where the age of the purchaser or recipient cannot be verified. Alcohol product information is provided for reference only; online ordering is not available by law.
(6) Fresh Imports
Quarantine certificates for all imported fresh produce can be provided upon request during the quoting or procurement process.
